Yes. Every build starts with a genuine Seiko VK mecha-quartz movement and Seiko-based case. We then upgrade the dial, hands, crystal, and bezel by hand. It's a real Seiko at its heart, modified and finished to a higher standard.
The Seiko VK mecha-quartz keeps time to within roughly ±15 seconds per month — far tighter than any mechanical movement in this price range. You get the crisp sweep of the chronograph seconds hand with the set-and-forget reliability of quartz.
